About Marketing By Design

George Dansie is the president of Marketing By Design, Inc. George has a robust set of skills that include visual and verbal communications. He has worked as a Creative Director, Art Director, Marketing Director, Graphic Designer, Photographer and Videographer.

George’s love for the arts began while in elementary school. He was exposed to computer graphics while in High School and knew that is what he wanted to do for his career after having an opportunity to work on the worlds first graphics computer at Skaggs Telecommunication. He graduated from the University of Utah in 1989 and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in graphic design, illustration, and drawing & painting.

George began his professional career at KSL-TV, in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1985. He worked for KSL for 13 years until 1998 when he decided to give his full attention to Marketing By Design, Inc. At KSL he worked as Broadcast Designer, Senior Broadcast Designer, and Art Director. George worked on award-winning projects for both print and video. Some of these are 1986 – Outdoors with Doug Miller; 1994 – Utah Business Show; 1994 – Sportsbeat Sunday; 1996 – KSL Weather with Mark Ubank; 1997 – Outdoor Expo; 1997 – Holocaust; Utah Remembers (award winning documentary); 1998 – Quake Zone Documentary (received Telly Award for best Graphics); Once upon a Dinosaur (award winning Documentary); 1998 – KSL TV News Set, the 1986, 1988, 1992 & 1996 Election Coverage, Shop Talk, Take 5 For Kids, and Show Me the Title, to name a few.

Other awards include; 1992 Distinguished Service Award, KSL TV, The Bronze Plaque for “Wing and a Prayer”, Telly Awards in 1995, 1997, 1999, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, Addy Award, Pinnacle Award in 2012 and additional Telly awards in 2014 for United States Postal Services videos and 2015 for Gatherings Promotional Campaign.
